I first learned about tree nets in high school when my friends and I were introduced to a series of secret spots hidden in the hills near my house and it quickly became our obsession to hunt down these epic hangout spots high up in the trees. During Covid, we all came home and with the extra time, I taught myself how to weave on an upside down table, taking inspiration from those spots we loved and also material online from legends like Andrew Castle, Treenetwillys and Charlie's Webs.
After building a series of nets for friends, I was able to find some paid gigs and even grow a following online that helped connect me with other weavers and tree net fans around the world. That led me to realize how much of a hunger there was in the world to learn how to weave which is what inspired me to create my first weaving class. I wanted to create the sort of guide that never existed for me when I was learning and hopefully help open up weaving so that anyone could do at home.
Since posting the classes online, it's been so inspiring to see people all over the world create epic spaces to share with their friends and family. I hope this encourages you to give it a shot yourself and if you have any questions or hesitations, you can always reach me at: [email protected]
Happy weaving!

Super clear instruction, I had never done anything of the treenet thing, knots, weaving, and I think Sean translated the process in small size bites and clear instructions.

The main cost of weaving is the rope for the perimeter and the paracord for the fill. The amount of either varies based on the size of the project and the density of the weave. I always tell people to start off with 150' of perimeter and 1000' of paracord. Through my supplier (Knot and Rope Supply–link at bottom of this page) that would be $226
For the perimeter, I use 7/16" static polyester over nylon rope and for the fill I use nylon 550 paracord. My supplier is Knot and Rope Supply. If you want to see a curated selection, you can follow the link at the bottom of this page.
Buying the course will give you access to stream all the videos forever. If I update any of the contents, it will automatically update on your end as well
Yes! I've been weaving for about 5 years myself and my first net is still standing strong. They do get a little tighter when it rains! I don't personally have experience (yet!) with nets in the snow but have talked to other weavers who've had no issues. Apparently the snow falls right through the web.
